THE MELBOURNE MARATHON!

Well at long last, the Melbourne Marathon finally came around and we did it yesterday. It was such a huge day for "Team Jack". We had 11 members of the team and will begin recruiting for more next year very soon! Craig along with friends Shaun Coppard, Belinda Maslen, Erica Frazer, and Sam Couper all ran the 10kms which started at 7.30am. Jennie Bakker, Nicole Street and Kate Rae all ran the 5kms. Jerome Higgins with daughters Maisy and Cami, Robyn Farrell (my sister) with baby Cameron and I along with Jack and Lucy all walked the 5kms.

Here's the 5kms walkers heading for the finish line in the MCG which was pretty awesome!!

The whole reason we were there - the cheeky and special Jack Mullan. He was such a dream all day and never complained at all the stop starting or for being in his pram for so long. I think he thoroughly enjoyed it!

One of our top fundraisers and the very first member of Team Jack is Sam Couper - she's been awesome in not only looking for fundraising from her friends and family but baking treats to sell at Porter Davis where her husband Andrew works to make some extra money. You're a legend Sam!

Craig did the 10kms in 1 hour and 55 seconds which is a pretty awesome feat!

We had the team decked out for the occasion in our CPEC hats and t-shirts and made them a bit more personal in having 'Team Jack' and his photo printed on them. Was really cool to have them on the back and so many people commented on it!
Unfortunately I couldn't find my camera yesterday which is such a disappointment but luckily Sam was able to take these on her phone. I would have loved to get a picture of 'Team Jack' together however it was not to be.
Craig and I are forever grateful to everyone who had so kindly and generously dipped into their pockets to support CPEC and in turn Jack and our family. And that's not only our friends and family but the friends of friends etc - we had people sponsor us that we have never even met and you can't imagine how wonderful and overwhelming that really is. It just means so much!
And to Shaun, Belinda, Sam, Erica, Jennie, Kate, Nicole, Rob and Jez - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It has been so awesome to have you guys on 'Team Jack', thanks for your enthusiasm, your commitment and hard work and your support of us from the bottom of our hearts. We're so lucky to have such wonderful friends!!!
